Bryn Aratyr Jimenez, soprano, has appeared on stages throughout North America and Europe. Her operatic repertoire includes Leonora (Il Trovatore), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), and the Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro). Ms. Jimenez has also appeared as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Hayden’s St. Cecilia Mass, and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.
Ms. Aratyr Jimenez has been the recipient of several vocal honors, including scholarships from the East Bay Opera League and Mayflower Choral Society and the Overall First Prize, Most Promising Voice award, Melodie award, Concert Group award, and Opera award at the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival, and was a semi-finalist in the Concours de l’interpretation de la musique Francaise de Montreal in Quebec.
Ms. Aratyr Jimenez holds Associates Degrees in vocal performance and teaching from the Victoria Conservatory of Music in Victoria, BC and a Bachelor of Music from the Vancouver Academy of Music in Vancouver, BC. Since graduation, Ms. Aratyr Jimenez has continued to study in San Francisco, Berlin, and New York, where she currently resides.
